We’re the Shirley family—born, raised, and still grinding right here in South Louisiana. Based in the small town of Church Point (home of the Buggy Festival), we proudly run RichLyn Customs as a local, family-owned welding and fabrication shop.

Richard Shirley, founder of RichLyn Customs, started welding in high school and spent over 15 years building personal projects and fixing things for friends. After 15+ years offshore in the oil and gas industry—including multiple deep-water projects—he turned his side hustle into a full-time custom metal shop in April 2022.

His wife, Carlyn, previously ran the largest goat dairy in Louisiana. These days, she helps manage the business, while their oldest son, Caden, enjoys lending a hand on job sites and in the shop. Together, the Shirley crew keeps RichLyn rolling.

We service all of Louisiana, East Texas, and West Mississippi, offering everything from small welding jobs to full custom fabrication projects. No job is too small, too big—or too weird.
