Cajun Woodstock was organized in 2003 from a vision during the band practice of J.C. Carriere & Hotstep. Wanting to create an event for the community and at the same time, an event that would “give back”, the band came up with “Cajun Woodstock for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.” Since then, Cajun Woodstock and the “Cajuns Against Cancer” has raised over $600,000 for St. Jude’s. Some of the activities at the festival are the Round Steak Cookoff, 5k Color Run, Poker Run, “Show & Shine” Car and Truck Show, and live music all weekend.
