Shrimp Etouffee

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup margarine
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • ¼ cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 can cream of shrimp soup
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sause
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 cups uncooked shrimp (peeled & deveined)

Directions:

In 2 1/2-3 quart pot, melt butter. Stir in onions, celery and green bell pepper. Sauté on high for ten minutes. Add green onions, sauté 5 minutes. Add cream of shrimp soup, stewed tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and garlic powder. Add shrimp and cover. Cook on high for 10 minutes. Serve over cooked rice.
