Church Point honors Chubby Carrier at Le Vieux Presbytère
Le Vieux Presbytère Museum, 205 Rue Iry Lejeune in Church Point, invites you to meet local musical legend Chubby Carrier at 6pm on Wednesday, April 8 at a reception to be held in his honor. At this time the museum’s music room will be reopened, unveiling new and improved exhibits displaying Church Point’s extensive musical heritage, which of course will include memories from Mr. Carrier’s long career.
Meanwhile, our latest seasonal exhibit, “Cajun Ladies: Heroines of our Home,” is now open. Come see pictures, awards, and other memborabilia from the Cajun Ladies organization, as well as the ladies’ handmade costumes. Other handmade home furnishings made by Cajun ladies of the past are also on display.
Le Vieux Presbytère is also open Monday through Friday from 11am until 4pm, Saturdays from 11am until 2pm, and at other times by appointment.
