The Saddle Tramp Rider’s Club proudly invites the community to join us for the 64th Annual Courir de Mardi Gras, honoring this time-honored Cajun tradition in Church Point.

Event Location & Route InformationThe Courir de Mardi Gras begins at the Saddle Tramp Rider’s Club and travels through the surrounding countryside, continuing a long-standing Cajun tradition. The event concludes with a parade through Main Street in Church Point.

Adult Courir & Float Rules (Summary)
• This is a traditional adult Courir de Mardi Gras — men only are permitted to participate in the adult run
• Traditional Courir attire is expected, including costume, capuchon, and mask
• Participants must present a valid government-issued ID at registration
• Anyone under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult
• All participants must follow instructions from the Capitaine, co-capitaines, and law enforcement at all times
• No weapons, no fighting, and no glass containers or ice chests
• One rider per horse — no doubling
• Underage alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited
• Traditional Courir attire is expected, including costume, capuchon, and mask
