Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsps. sugar
- ½ cup oleo (softened)
- 1 pint fig preserves (cut in small pieces-use syrup also).
- 1 ¼ cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
Directions:
- Add egg, sugar, vanilla, and oleo.
- Stir
- In a separate bowl, add one pint fig preserves, cut in small pieces. (Use syrup also.), 1 ¼ cup flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, ½ tsp. salt.
- Add to first bowl, and beat until smooth.
- Stir well, makes a thick dough.
- Spread in a buttered and lightly floured pan.
- Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
