Strawberry Salad

About:

Ingredients:

  • 1 large package strawberry jello (6 oz.)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 (12-oz) packages frozen strawberries (thawed)
  • 1 can (1lb. 4 oz.) crushed pineapple (drained)
  • 3 medium bananas (mashed)
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese

Directions:

  • In a large bowl, stir jello in boiling water until dissolved.
  • Add strawberries with juice, drained pineapple, bananas, and nuts.
  • Pour half of this mixture into 12″x8″x2″ container and refrigerate until firm.
  • Soften cream cheese and combine with sour cream.
  • Spread evenly over chilled layer.
  • Gently spoon on remaining half of strawberry mixture.
  • Chill. Cut into squares and serve on lettuce leaves.
